 Finding Ukraine’s Stolen Children 


Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, over 20,000 children have been illegally deported to Russia. However, Ukrainian authorities estimate the true number of missing children to be significantly higher. As the mission to locate and reunite these children with their families intensifies, technology is playing a pivotal role in addressing this humanitarian crisis.

This webinar will provide a unique insight into how advanced tools are being used to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our time. Using facial recognition technology, investigators have so far identified and located 86 children with high-probability matches, offering a glimmer of hope amid the turmoil.

Joseph Jones is a former British Army Military Intelligence Operator and a former National Crime Agency Intelligence Officer. As the founder of OS2INT, a consultancy specializing in open-source intelligence training, Joseph has trained professionals worldwide in the application of advanced investigative techniques.

Since OS2INT’s acquisition by Paliscope in 2022, Joseph has spearheaded the implementation of Paliscope software, providing training and support to organizations across various fields. His work in Ukraine includes aiding in the investigation of war crimes, monitoring Russian private military companies, and supporting efforts to locate missing children using advanced technology.
