The European Forensic Institute is proud to announce that Luca Cadonici, Programme Leader of the Master’s in Cyber Security, Digital Forensics and Crime Analysis has been invited as a speaker at the 11th INTERPOL Digital Forensics Expert Group (DFEG) Meeting (DFEG 2026) and the 1st International Investigators’ Summit on AI-Enabled Digital Forensic Investigations (IIS 2026), hosted by the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), India.

“From BFU to AFU: iOS Device States and Data Availability in Mobile Forensic Investigations.”

The INTERPOL Digital Forensics Expert Group (DFEG) is INTERPOL’s annual forum, bringing together leading experts from law enforcement, government agencies, academia, and industry to discuss the latest advances in digital forensics and cyber investigations. The 2026 edition will focus on key topics including Artificial Intelligence in Digital Forensics, Synthetic Media and Deepfakes, Mobile and Computer Forensics, Multimedia Forensics, Digital Evidence Analysis, and international cooperation in cybercrime investigations.

Luca’s participation reflects EFI’s commitment to academic excellence, applied research, and international collaboration. At the European Forensic Institute, programmes are led by professionals who actively contribute to international research, operational practice, and global forensic initiatives, ensuring that students learn from experts at the forefront of the profession.
