We are pleased to announce that the next event in our series Meet the Experts will be presented by Bernhard Egger, Criminal Director of the Bavarian Police, who will talk about the successful face recognition project in his state.
Bernhard Egger has been with different investigation departments for over 40 years in various positions.
After graduating from the German Police University in 1995 he headed various criminal police units, among others the Narcotic Squad and the Squad for Combating Organized Crime. For the past ten years, he has been head of the department of Investigation Services, Prevention and Cybercrime in the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office. Among other topics, one focus was analysis and recognition service. With various projects he pushed in recent years especially facial recognition and its possibilities. As a result, his department is a pioneer in this topic in many areas. He is a member of IACA and ECAC.
